Beacon Bingo Hall Gets Robbed By Armed Men
Playing bingo is a very lucrative activity and this was proven for a fact when a bingo hall in Brighton was robbed last Sunday. The Beacon Bingo Hall at Moulsecoomb Way in Brighton was subject to a robbery by three armed men who made off with £1,000 in cash.
The theft happened on the evening of May 15th, a little after 7:30 pm and fortunately for the bingo players who frequented the Beacon Bingo Hall, the robbers attacked well before the players could arrive. Whether this indicates a well planned robbery or this was just plain luck is not yet known, although we can assume that the robbers knew the timings and the habits of the hall.
The theft is currently under investigation, and detectives are questioning the employees who were present when it happened. Reports indicate that all the three robbers were dressed in dark clothing, two of whom wore masks, and one was armed with a knife and threatened the employees.
Although none of the Beacon Bingo Hall employees were harmed during the event, they were terribly shaken and shocked by what happened. The police believe that the robbers were young men aged between 25 to 30 years of age on account of their build and stature. The thieves made way with £1,000 from the hall’s cash boxes and got way in a stolen Ford Mondeo Saloon. The car which was reported stolen a day earlier was later abandoned near Southall Avenue.
As of now, detectives are looking for information from people who may have seen these men entering the Beacon Bingo Hall.
