Jefferson County To Host Bingo Fundraisers
Many counties and districts have taken up the ruling that bingo games are only allowed as charitable events and can be used as fundraisers. Since bingo is not going to be associated with betting and wagers, bingo players can now expect to play bingo only at fundraisers.
Although this ruling disappointed several bingo players, the bingo players at Jefferson County will not have much to complain about – at least on Wednesdays. This is because there will be a regular bingo event held very week in Jefferson County.
Hilltop Tavern has joined hands with Real Estate Professionals in order to provide good deals with Affordable Housing (REPAH) at Jefferson County. They will be doing this through a bingo fundraiser event held on all Wednesday nights this month.
These bingo games for affordable housing are games for a cause and they will be held from 7 pm to 9 pm. The prizes have been donated by Hilltop Tavern. The special bingo games are being held for a $1 donation per round, which gives the player two cards. The deal is around $10 for 20 cards to be played.
Another regular feature at Hilltop Tavern, which is situated in Port Townsend is that of “Barstool Bingo”. Here, Judy and Pat Lundgren donate the prizes that include plants, blanket throws and other interesting items. The organizer mentioned that the whole event was filled with fun and entertainment and there is always a great turnout, with around 40 people playing and free pool and enough seats for people to get comfortable. These games are sort of a service to the community.
