Madeley Bingo Hall Shifts To A New Venue
While some bingo halls are closing down in some districts in the United Kingdom, there are other bingo halls that are expanding or shifting to new venues. The bingo hall at Madeley is such a case.
Bingo players who are based in Madeley now have a great new venue where people will be able to enjoy their favourite game. The weekly challenges of bingo at Madeley have moved to the new venue, and the new place is none another than the Madeley Centre, which has been constructed with an investment of around £2 million. Indeed, many bingo players from the district are very happy with the move and believe that the Madeley Centre is a worthy venue for a worthy game.
The Sentinel reported that the bingo games will be held every Thursday from 19:30 onwards at BST time in the Madeley Centre. The co-ordinators of the bingo games at Madeley, namely, Dorothy Brough and Glenys Lightfoot help in running these local bingo events. They mentioned to the Sentinel that they were delighted to be moving to the new venue at Madeley Centre.
It was also noted that the bingo club that has recently moved had been running in the village hall for the last twenty years. People reported that although it was very disappointing to be leaving their old location, they were also excited at the same time to be moving to a new place.
Few bingo players could not make it for the bingo games when they heard the news of the relocation of the bingo parlour, but the co-ordinators believe that the numbers will increase as soon as people know and hear about the new and permanent venue. The co-ordinators are of the opinion that the Madeley Centre is a great place for all kinds of community groups and they think it is going to be popular among the local bingo players.
